I have an odd situation....a very good friend who is in financial trouble has asked me to look at buying his 180. I'm working with him on other ideas to resolve the financial difficulty.
That being said......I've always thought if I had a 2nd plane (other than my wonderfully rebuilt -12, thanks MCS), it would be a fire-breathing, load-carrying 185 that I could stuff the wife and grandkids in and not worry about GW limits....a quick troll through TAP shows a few 180's for sale with decent EW/GW differentials, at least compared to the -12.
If I proceed with this purchase, the "mission" would be to help my friend out (and I know nothing about his plane other than it's a 180), but I'd be interested to know the thoughts on 180 vs. 185?
