Hello Everyone,
I believe I've read all the threads regarding installation of a Niagara oil cooler on a PA-12 with the 150 hp O-320 A2B STC.
I have one of these aircraft and want to intall this cooler on my airplane. I've spoken with Niagara and Kenmore.
I believe you have to have a field approval for this installation. i did not see any mention of this in the threads.
The Niagara papework is specifically a direct replacement for the various PA-18 and 19 models with this engine. No 337 required. For the PA-20 and PA-22 requires their STC.
I also spoke with Eric at Kenmore. He concurred.
Unless I am missing something it sounds like a field approval is a must?
Does anyone have any previously approved paper work?
Thanks,
David
