Found 2 nice sets of brand new inertia reel seatbelts, decent price at £36.00 GBP each... Discovered later GPB$ it about twice $..
Not ''aviation'', but they sure look much safer than stock harness.
My project all covered and powder coated, I needed to fab some bolt on brackets.
0.50'' 4130 bent around a 12mm socket in a vice on the press made a good result.
With another mating plate to sandwich around a 7/8 fuselage tube.
I tough using it for front and rear harness, but it won't fit...
The harness inertia reel has an ajustment. Just need to put the harrow up to have it ''free'' when at rest.
The only thing is belt length not perfect for a Cub with seat belt anchor at the floor... Will work on getting them to fit safely on the plane without modifying the harness.
Will work on this later this week I hope.
Some .16 alu heel rest to keep the carbonfiber floors getting old, and a old rear stick cover repaired and getting ready to be screwed:
