the red print on the picture says N82962?
Sorry, I see N82962 now. I will watch the coast of Oregon.
I built this cub.... It belongs to a very good friend of mine. He called me earlier this evening to let me know the news.
This cub is very distinctive..... Not in just the paint job but the entire aircraft has numerous custom items that stand out from your typical cub. It has Kydex interior, titanium firewall, upper and lower baggage systems, Lycon built 0-320 with Leading Edge exhaust, 35 inch Bushwheels and full glass doors just for starters.
Thanks.
Brian.
edit: Jerry informed me that it currently has the 29 inch Gar Aeros on it and he left the 35's in Alaska.
Here is a link to my facebook page showing some of the build
Also a couple of pics.....
edit: Added a pic of the fuselage before the blue..... note the baggage doors... one of the distinctive traits of this airplane. The fuselage is an Airframe's inc. replacement.... I am sure Jerry has the S/N of the frame in his paperwork.

also here is a link to it in my google docs, so you can just email your friends the link to the .pdf instead of the whole big file.

Mike,
You are awesome.... Remind me to buy you a cold one when I am up at the trade show next May....
Brian.
Thanks Mike and Brian, I know he'll appreciate the effort.
Sorry I didn't get back quick enough to see the request for information, out of pocket last night.
Thanks again.
Suggest EVERYONE on this site print and post at all reachable airports. This "lowlife" needs to be captured. Cannot be a "REAL' cub person . Honor and respect is what cub people are. My printer is running--will post. geezer Dan
Good, clear flyer !!! Posted at two FOBs here in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Yeah, I know this is a long way from Idaho, but lots of folks want to winter down here, and there's always a chance .....................
GOOD LUCK in getting this fine Super Cub back !!!!!

I will be sure and get a flyer up in KBYG (Buffalo,Wy) and KSHR (Sheridan, Wy)
I have printed the flyer and will get it out to several airports in the west Coast of central Florida.

Will keep eyes wide open in south Texas as well.
I fly IFR (I Follow Roads).
That ain't right, to steal a mans airplane, I'll post the flyer at the Heber City UT airport and check with the line guys to see if they remember seeing it around. I like our odds there's a great network of people associated with this site, it will turn up. It's too specialized of an airplane to go unnoticed, it's not a Cessna 172. Or even a cub yellow or typical white and red configuration.
Will spread the word and put up flyer in Spokane.
I hope it was taken by your friends for a little "Pimp My Cub," or "Overhaulin - cub style."
Seriously, any distinguishing characteristics if they take a home depot paint roller to it like the cub in Alaska last year? BTW, that cub was recovered. It's got to be awful tough to get away with stolen planes around here.

If you see the plane anywhere, call the police and the FAA, too! The construction details are important, plane has been missing for a month and could have been repainted with a new broom and a bucket of paint.
If you haven't done so yet, be sure to notify the authorities with serial numbers on the engine, prop, etc. I think AOPA and can also post an alert.
It could be in South America by now, sorry you weren't ab;e to fly it, and pinpoint the time beter.
I think if the thief if found he should be stripped of all his earthy possessions dropped off in the middle of the frank church wilderness in winter. He should be dressed in shorts and a T-shirt and be given only a pocket knife. Seems fair to me.

Low budget translation software: Cut and Paste into Notepad.exe (edit if needed) then from there into discussion thread? Also, use preview button.
Question to anybody: Can we view the "mark up" language before and after a post here?
Stealing a cub would be like stealing someones cattle here in the sandhills, That lowlife would be the guest of dishonor at a necktie party
that's messing with one's lively hood. Jim cowboypilot from Nebr.
The number is Jerry's cell phone.... I have him In my contact list since he is a good friend and customer.
Jerry's family lives in Idaho. He guides during the summer in Alaska. This cub and his 185 are his 2 workhorses for his business. The cub was specifically built and customized for the flying that he does..... There is no other one like it.
I can get the serial numbers off the gascolator and brake cylinders to help with identification if needed.

Put a flier up in the terminal in Graham. Hoping for a speedy recovery.
We'll post it here in Oklahoma and keep a sharp eye out.

You would think with all this electronic junk out there they could add to the pile by having something thats about the size of a dime that could be found with satillite, like cell phones can be. Would be handy.
I called the number on the flyer and it was the owner that answered. He did have it stolen and really is greatfull to all of us for helping. He said there is a guy they are looking at and feel he might be involved. Best of luck to him and lets help him find this plane, your's could be next.
