Carb. heat connecting bolt

The end of the carb heat cable broke off a couple weeks ago. I don't like the looks of the 1/4 inch bolt with a hole in it, and I'm not sure it's the correct way to connect the cable to the carb heat handle anyway. Does anyone have a pic. of what is supposed to be used?

The stud is held in place with a washer and shear nut, AN320-3? Maybe?

and burl will make you any custom length you need, say if you change thickness of an arm by welding a bushing on to fix a enlarged hole.....
