How are the control surface movements in a PA-12 with the 150HP engine, flaps, and PA-18 tail feathers supposed to be adjusted?
The PA12 Type Certificate says
Elevator 27° Up 32° Down
Rudder 20° Left 20° Right
Aileron 31° Up 25° Down
Stabilizer 1°15' Up 5°30' Down
whereas the PA-18 Type Certificate says
Elevator 25° +/-2 Up 15° +/-2 Down
Rudder 25° Left 25° Right
Aileron 18° +/-2 Up 18° +/-2 Down
Stabilizer 2½° +/-½ Up 4° +/-½ Down
Flaps 0° Up 50° +/- 2 Down
It would make sense to adopt the 25° rudder movement, but how about the rest of them? Can anyone help in shedding some light on this?
Thanks
