    PA18 question

Hi all, I've been hooked on the super cubs since I started flying, I'm after more info on them ,different models or changes over the years, a couple of things I notice is that some have the curved Cub side window and others have a square window, is this a model thing or have owners modded them , the other thing is the air intake under the front ,some have a ball shaped thing in there some just have a scoop what the difference ,,their pretty thin on the ground over here so I haven't seen one around to have a look at ,although I have some plans on the way to build one (after the Skyfox and the RV are done ) one day ,
    cheers Mat

    Matt,

-The squared off rear windows that extend farther aft were standard on the military version of the Super Cub, the L-21. The air intakes differ, depending on the year of manufacture. Earlier airplanes had a square induction inlet with a standard air filter, later airplanes had a cylindrical air filter, with that half dome out front.
