MikeO just called me to see if Eddie had seen the post. Heavens no! He has to work hard so he can take time off to fly Cuzoom to Alaska each spring. Mike Olson is the builder behind Cuzoom, but he uses "input" from many different people...Wayne Mackey, Bart LaLonde, etc. Wayne, Eddie and several other pilots tested various propellers on Super Cubs last year during the week between the Airman Show and Valdez. MikeO is always striving to find the best combination! Until I saw this thread, I thought Eddie's 15 minutes of fame were in the past!

I enjoy working the Valdez Air Show. Ed is a fellow Kansan and he is always gracious enough to stop by the Valdez Temporary Flight Service Station to say hi. It is a pleasure to watch him fly that plane in the competition and also his demonstration flight that he does.

The officials wanted Mike to do it, but Mike asked Eddie to do the demonstration. Eddie does a lot of "demonstrating" for our friends and neighbors here in Kansas too.

I thought the announcer said Mike was flying. Ed does do a lot of demonstrations. I can always count on getting up early enough when Ed is around.

I see that they have extended chord on the flaps, yet I have not seen this much before. The only other I have seen was on a Stinson 108 at Lk Hood. Can anyone illuminate this mod, and does anyone know about that Stinson; how it works for them and approval.

Ed Doyle is such a gentleman, and it shows in the video.... Paul is in fine form here too, similarly open and direct: http://www.eaavideo.org/video.aspx?v=102143888001

Even after spending two days with Ed at New Holstein, I had no idea he could be so articulate. Very impressive Ed. Fun video.
