New Project! I started in Jan of this year with WAG 2+2 plans. Scratch wings with Univair Spar blanks and RIBS and built up from there. Converted for tandem seats 2 place, 38 FT wing span 8' 3" flaps, 8 ft alie, 2 inch extra cord, 14 inch extended gear and 4 inch extended tail spring. 0-360 A1A will power and a 80 inch Hartzel. zero thrust line and mount 3 inch lower than stock for visibility and 4 inch ext fwd for CG. Oversize tail feathers. New to the cub world but after sitting quiet and enjoying all of your great things on this site this is what I have come up with so far. Should be flying around first of Febuary let me know what you think!!!!

Very cool! It's taken me 4 years to get my 2+2 on the gear and wings ready for control surfaces. Sure like the gear set up you have. What's your secret? It sure took me a long time to build up my fuselage from a bunch of tubes. Love to see pictures for some ideas. Love the paint by the way.

no i kind of use my own system. I use superflight glue as it is green so you can see how much and where it is. I use ceconite glue for the upper fuse so you can't see the glue in exposed interior areas. Ceconite 102 fabric. Airtech primer as it covers well with very few coats. Easy to sand. I had about 10 gallons of ranthane the old system in ag cat yellow and i went down to univair (my neighbors) and re-tinted the ag cat yellow to match lockhaven yellow. Sliver is a poly u matched to the frame powder coat with flexitive. I know its round about, but i love the results and this is the second plane i have done this way. My breezy was the first. You can see it by google n814bj and lots of images from oshkosh.

Toe brakes.... are you using cessna type pedels and / or master cylinders? what kind of shock absorber system will you be using...?

That looks great. Bet that is a performer with the 38' wings. Probably fly so slow the butterfly s will pass you. Should even be able to keep it in the air over Oklahoma with all the hot air there.

Cessna pedals, master cyl. some NOS I had sitting around, DIE Spring from Wag aero so far.
I sure hope it as fun as I think it will be.

The Wag plans show one and I like header tanks for fuel feed, Slips and so on. Also 3.3 more gal. of gas (20) min of reserve. I made it as big as I could with the space I had.

From what I can see your plane looks great. You have some imagination I see. Must have alot of time to spend on your project. I've been working on my project for 7 years and I'm not as far along as you..
