Hi guys, putting new tail brace wires on my 12, need to know how tight or loose do they need to be. I have leveled the tail feathers with the wires but how tight should I go.

make sure that you have your plane laterally level before you level the horizontal stabilizers or it won't be correct(let air out of a tire). i used the two front landing gear bolts to get lateral level and tighten wires enough that they "twing" when you strum them with your finger. also have the tail raised about 36-40" to get accurate leveling.

Use a fish scale and a long straight edge to get a 1/2" deflection with a 12-15 lb. pull.

Thanks Steve for the info. DW I am tone deaf, so your way is out. thanks again guys for your help. See you all at johnson creek look for the 12 with the new shiney tail wires
