    Control Surface Deflections

I am installing a PA-18 tail and flaps in my PA-12. I cannot seem to find the required control surface deflections, i.e. how many degrees do the controls have to move up and down. Can anyone help? I need the figures for the elevators, rudder, flaps, and ailerons.

    Thanks!

Try doing a search on the faa.gov site for type certificate data of the model your interested in. Should all be there!

    rgl.faa.gov

    That is the PA-12.

For the flaps you want them to go down 40 degrees from zero.

    Thanks Tim,

I am installing a 150HP engine per the Kenmore STC. Will the elevator deflections for the PA-18 elevators and with this engine be the same as the unbalanced, original ones are with the smaller engine??

    Bent-

I do not know for sure but: If your STC says that the deflections are supposed to be xx up and xx down then make it that way. If there are no specific instructions like that then use the TCDS.
