    Bose Aviation Headset X

Anyone know of a pilot supplies/avionics dealer that takes used Bose Aviation Headsets in on trade? Trying to scrap together enough cash for one of those Garmin 496 thingies. Thanks.

It would probably be easier and quicker to sell them on E-Bay.

How about this ! Keep your Bose head set, and order a 496 Garmin from your local dealer. Tell him you want the new deal the Garmin factory has going on that not everyone knows about yet. Its a rebuilt 496 with a full year warranty from Garmin for $1700. Now the rest of the money can be used for something else. Like buying me lunch.

I knew that some pilot/avionics shops were advertising "refurbished" 496s for that price, but didn't know Garmin would provide a full year warranty behind it. Good stuff.

$1700's still a big nut in my book, so the Bose must go. Calling PCA today as Lou advised. Glad to buy you a cheese steak though next time you're in PHL

What year are they, how many hours have they been used, where have they been stored, have they ever been to the factory, do they have the stronger head spring, are they battery pack with ASO and how much do you want of them outright. I know SJ would be very happy if you advertised them on our classified.
