making a pulley positioning tool to quickly position pulley mounts so the cables will enter and exit the pulley centered. just point each rod where the cables go to and weld mount in place ....done!

I got the wing assembly vid from Univair and was pretty disappointed. I thought $40 for a DVD that started out on VHS (poor quality) w/o any way to jump chapters was kind of a rip. It was the only one I could find though. I do have to admit the blind hole finder the guy made was a pretty good as well as the tips for squaring the wing. Heck, the more I think about it I guess it did probably save me some time. I give it two out of 5 pop corn bags.

just signed up half-hour ago for renting How-to DVD's at SmartFlix they have a ton of sheet-metal and metalworking, gunsmith, some aviation and?????? you name it...

they have like 6000 DVD's in 300 categories..

looks like you just pay when you rent without a signup/monthly fee that i could see... $10+ a video a week, cheaper than the $40+ I was paying to buy ONE

anyone dealt with them? good/bad?????? they advertise in most of the metalworking magazines I get

anyone else got more ideas???

uhhhhggggg!

well I guess i should have tried it first....

but all is good now, first video finally arrived.... not their fault but mine , me not paying attention to where it said if video was available or not,

but... they DO charge you card when you order...whether video is able to ship tomorrow or not till next month......

first video was an excellent one on using a metal shaper by Rudy Kouhoupt...$10 well spent, just ordered 4 more, so about 10 dvds on the way......

:)

Mike, I love the pulley bracket positioning tool. Wish I'd have thought of thatyears ago.

Thanks. DAVE

Smart Flix.com

Any book or post I read, or any hanger I stick my nose into - I hope I come out with a good idea. Reading about Smartflix.com today was worth the price of admission! Thanks!

Also - I liked the pulley position tool vid as well.
