    Radio/transponder suggestions

I have to replace the ancient mode c transponder in my cub.

Rather than buy a new model and stack it on top of an ancient radio (that still works).

I wonder if the wise and cunning out there, have any suggestions for a transponder/720channel radio combo ( I am not rich) that is type approved for mounting in a cub and is small enough not to clutter an otherwise tight space. My cub has the original 1957 instrument panel.

My currently situation is both are mounted (more like slung) up under the instrument panel. I have the normal space in the port (L) wing root, but are unsure if there is a recommendation that would even fit in there.

Any suggestions apart from the obvious gratefully received..

    Cheers and thanks...

I think Becker makes one that will fit the standard instrument hole, they also make a radio that fits the hole too.
