Now Perry, Perry - just because you're sick of spending every waking moment trying to keep that blankety-blank Ford running, doesn't mean you should take it out on friends and transform them into former friends. Maybe you need Jack Nicholson's anger management course? You must know Gordon Misch then.
Oh wait, now I think I understand. Your remark was a compliment wasn't it? Sorry ol' buddy!!!!!!!!!!! And good luck with the Ford - - -![]()

Actually that was just a test to see if you were still lurking about. Plus it was one of those perfect opportunities that I just couldn't pass up.
P.S. I am a little ticked about one of the Fords right now. It has a cracked exhaust manifold and its going to be a pain to fix. Looks like I have to pull the wheel well liner and jack that side of the engine up to get it. I was seriously considering trading it in as-is for a newer (2013) used truck. When my wife saw the ante up amount, she advised me I would be fixing it and keeping it. I certainly can't afford the ante up for a newer wife so I guess I have to fix it. Also both of our boys now have their drivers licenses, so State Farm has the majority of my discretionary cash.
Self-employed, writer, social and resource development worker, president of woodlot owners organization.
Been leaving my dna on old airplanes as an A&P IA since 1976 and most times getting paid for it. Flying my own airplanes for fun since 1973.
I'm a wheat farmer, husband of one, father of two boys, uncle of many. I also am the Fire Chief of the local volunteer Fire Dist. I am in my second term on the school board, and I am working on my commercial rating in my spare time......
Fireman for the last 30 years....14 in Henderson NV and 16 here in AK. Still going! Apparently I build and rebuild things. Now working on a set of amphibs for my Murphy rebel.
Milked cows for 5 years as a teenager to learn to fly (with lots of help from great mentors) at an awesome glider club in Springfield, VT. Then BT in Aviation with summers as A&P apprentice, A&P, part time CFIG, full time CFIG/tow pilot, full time CFIA/II. Short stint in Bolivia as pilot for a new medical mission aviation program. Back to the states as A&P/IA until my wife finished school, then A&P/IA for a mission aviation group in Bolivia, Guyana and Chattanooga, TN.
Started a 501(c)3 two years ago to reach the poorest in the Bolivian Andes with a free medical mission aviation program. Currently living in Cochabamba Bolivia, leading groups of volunteer medical personnel on foot into remote villages to offer medical services to the indigenous subsistence farmers/shepherds. Dreaming of the day when the Cub will be a reality and the project will be airborne. Until then I'm piloting a 1974 FJ40 Land Cruiser...Cub yellow of course

Airport Manager, FBO, AP/IA, CFI, grass mower (a LOT this year!), snow plower (coming up too soon)
General Construction company co-owner, Pay: not enough! Work: to much! Skill: jack of all trades, master of none! but my Cub did make the pages of STOL Magazine, front and center of the New Holstein article even though I Dq'd two out of the three short landing attempts

i used to be a senior B747 Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (A&P) for QANTAS, now I an a Wheelwright / Coachbuilder.
I'm a pusher at the middle school and high school. In doing my best to get kids hooked I've found it's best to start tempting them when they're young. See, PerryB was right.
Yeah, you guessed it - I'm a math and science teacher(reformed mechanical engineer), pushing a few of the many mysterious pleasures of the intellect. Been doing most of the gamut from remedial and basic Algebra and 7th grade Science thru AP Calculus and AP Physics. And I'm here to say that the rewards outshine the frustrations! One 'kid' who endured me for four years is now a senior at UW with a dual major in aerospace and mechanical engineering; another is finishing up his pre-med, and yet another is finishing up her biomedical engineering degree. I'm debating whether to retire at the end of this year; I'll be 70, but what a privilege it is to share in the influencing of young minds - - -

Deputy Sheriff full time, part time Combat Engineer Army National Guard, and a side job selling guns and teaching personal protection courses. Now if I could only find a way to make money with a PA12.
The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
Been on the government dole for 30 years - 20 on active duty, 10 as a civilian trying to teach kids who have never been without a smartphone how to fly a 50 year old jet. Did a few years as an airline pilot, didn't think much of it.
Professional juggler. I do my best to keep several balls in the air at the same time. Whenever I get comfortable life tosses up another one to keep me on my toes. Apparently I'm pretty good at it. So far so good.
I own/run the largest glass breaking shop in Cooperstown when I'm not cleaning the bathroom there.

Retired Pilot.
I started out trapping and guiding in the eastern Brooks Range in 1968. I saved enough money to buy a PA11 in 1972, and have been flying ever sense.
Most of my flying has been in Alaska until 1999, when I went to work for an International Carrier flying a B747. I retired in 2013, and am back flying my PA11.
I loved every minute of it, and still get goose bumps when I line up for take off.

Tell 'em to be careful, Perry's a Ford guy which means he's persistent and ingenious enough to outfight a Ford, every time he just wants to go to the grocery store. As we all know, Fords are no simple threat. They make guns look docile.
Plus, he's sneaky. Land in a nearby town and he knows it. Promptly. Every time. Even if he's never met you before.

Been a pilot for 40 years, A&P for 15, and built a 3 planes, but those are the hobbies. Did 4 years duty fixing planes for the Air Force. Worked in mining and construction when I was young operating cranes, drag lines, and other heavy equipment. Went to college, then worked for a computer company for a few years (DEC) doing field service until they went under. Did Unix sys admin for a number of years until I was invited to go to work for a group doing drone work based on my A&P knowledge and experience building a glass plane. Ran the composite fabrication shop for a few years for the drone guys. When that gig folded I landed in a metallurgy group doing parts fabrication (forging, rolling, forming & drawing) and heat treating metals. I've got about a year left heating and beating metals until I call myself retired.
