Hey guys, I ordered some new O-rings and a top gasket to facilitate the
rebuild of the fuel selector valve on my '54 C-180. Well the O-rings and
gasket showed up in the mail yesterday, but upon disassembly of the
valve, something ain't right....
The illustrated parts manual (figure 138-16) says the end fittings use an
MS29513-116 "fuel resistant" o-ring, but an MS29513-116 o-ring is a
smaller animal than what was on my fuel selector valve (see pictures
below).
What's the deal here? Is the parts book correct? And has
someone "been into" this fuel selector valve and assembled
it with incorrect seals? Or is the parts book wrong?
