When was the "chevron" on the vertical stabilizer adopted by Piper. Is there an actual Piper schematic for it?

I am about ready to put the final accent color (red) on my all white cub and was wondering about it.

This one was 62-76. This is a factory original fabric 76 cub. Cub Club has the drawing for this paint scheme but its not very good.

Kase....after the picture on another thread of your sparkling clean landing gear, I'm offended with this picture of all of the bird crap..

Thanks for the response... I think Kase's photo is as good as any schematic for a reference/placement. I'll give it a shot!

BTW is there any significance to it or just a logo of sorts?
