longer tailspring / stringer to add stability

Just a thaught,

since my Pacer is pretty short in length compared to a -18, when I extend the main gear, could I possibly put on a C-185 tail wheel stringer or install longer tailsprings to increase the distance between the gear or would it not be worth it?

Don't know of any STC that do that. Even as exp, you might want to think about attachment loads. Double the arm and you double the load.

True, but how much weight is actually back there compared to say a C-180? If I was going to go with that stringer.

I don't need any paperwork so really, it's just a question of performance, safety and handling.
