What would happen if you were to touch your mains to pavement at about 110 mph? Anything to worry about?

A friend of mine was asking.

Thanks,

Mike J.

If your tire pressure is low, you may likely shear the valve stem off, as the tire will spin on the rim.

If it was my cub, it would have to be in a near vertical dive to get to 110mph. I'd have plenty to worry about.

I'll have my friend check his valve stems, but I'm pretty sure the tires had good pressure, so hopefully they'll be OK.

Thanks!

Mike

At 110 in my Champ full bore the tail would be so high I'd be more worried about the prop. Tires fair much better on pavement.
