    World's Shortest Fairy Tale

    World's Shortest Fairy Tale

    Once upon a time,
    A guy asked a girl.
    "Will you marry me?"
    The girl said.
    "No."
The guy lived happily ever after..
    and went FLYING.....
    a lot!!!.

    THE END.

(thanks to fellow cajun cubbie, Leonard P.)

Mark, You are so correct. It was too easy. She's a lovely young lady forced to sit home while her husband ...... well it's that same old "Cub Widow" story.

Dana, my deepest deepest apologies. I am so sorry that I was out of place with such a remark. I know the pain you feel. My lovely Sue belongs to a local group of grandmothers who spend their weekends running off to goodness knows where on their Harleys. The Greasy Grannies. I guess I just felt the pain and struck out at you. Please try to find in in you heart ...... blah blah blah blah...

    Your ole Friend,
    Joooooooooe

My "fairytale" would be something like this:

Once upon a time a guy asked a girl to marry him.
    She said, "Yes!"
They both went on to take flying lessons
and, oh joy, got their licenses on the very same day!
Now all they do is FIGHT
about who gets to sit in the front of the cub.

    You missed something there.

That reminds me of un-Hallmark quote I read recently:

    Looking back over the years
    that we have been together,
    I can't help but wonder,
What the he** was I thinking?!!

Thanks Joe, for starting such a "warm fuzzy" thread! You really should have held off until Valentine's Day.

    Thank you.

It's my 20 year fairy tale. I wouldn't trade a single day for a year of being single.

Guy on barstool, long face, sighing.

    "Hey buddy, what's eatin' ya?"

"Asked my gal to marry me."

    "Yea? And she said NO?"

    "NO. She said yea."
