    Big day for me today

I finally did it. I bought my first Super Cub today. After quite some time of shopping and pestering people all over the country for pics and equipment lists, it happened. I find it funny that the plane that I found ( or found me ) was so close to home. 1956 PA18a-150 with wheel gear, Edo 2000's and hydraulic wheel skis.

Thanks to my wife for her support.

Thanks to Dave Jaranson for pointing me in the right direction and for giving me my first ever ride in a Super Cub.

Thanks to all of the members here for your incite (INSIGHT) and advice. I look forward to meeting you in the future.

When I get it home, I'll post some more pics.

    Thanks

    Paul

"Ditto" the congratulations. Those "birds" can get to be part of the family. My father bought our 1959 PA-18 in 1964 . . and I bought it from him in 1976. My daughter is convinced it is her rival "sibling".

You'll have a lot of fun . . . .Welcome to the "Wonderful World of Cubs"!

Way to go!!! Like the part about thanking the wife. It is like adding a son.

I have had mine since 1978, it is family.

Gosh, what a beautiful airplane! I look forward to seeing it at the 2005 Fall Colors Flyin, or at New Holstein!

Paul Congratulations what a nice plane which is even made prettier with the floats. When you want to go to Alaska on straight floats stop by and we will go together. The best way to see the west coast and Alaska is on floats.

    INSIGHT

Sorry. Didn't use the grammar check, just spell check. I wasn't trying to INCITE a riot.

I thought it was kind of funny when I read it. I can see how the members would incite you to buy a Cub.

    BTW, congrats.
