    Underwater Egress Training in Fairbanks

Folks, as noted in another thread on this board, the FAA, the Seaplane Pilots Association, and the Alaskan Aviation Safety Foundation are sponsoring emergency underwater egress training in Fairbanks later this week.

The mandatory classroom session is this Friday, from 7 to 9 PM at the Noel Wien Library.

The pool sessions are Saturday and Sunday, and sign ups will be at the classroom session.

    Please attend this invaluable training.

For more info, contact the FAA at 474-0276, or me at 451 7570.

    Mike,
Who's teaching the class? I've been to several different survival schools taught by LTR, (Learn To Return). I can't say enough good things about those guys!

    Kelvin,

The US Coast Guard, Kodiak Air Station. The class is taught by rescue swimmers.

LTR does a much more in depth (pun intended) course, with a lot more elaborate training devices in Anchorage.

This course is an introductory course, and attendance is free.
