Want an airport in your back yard when you retire?

AlaskaAV

If you want an airport in your back yard when you retire, this concept might be just right for you. The runway should be capable of most turboprop aircraft up to 40 passengers and of course Jet equipment such as the Lears and Citations, the toys of the passengers.

Check out the overview and graphics areas on the toolbar.

One thing about us Alaskans, we think big. Just too bad our wallets are not as full as we would like.
Sorry Texans, this one is Alaska size.

I've been reading about this for the past 10 years. Has anything actually been done or is it still in the "planning" stages.

Kind of reminds me of the Moeller SkyCar.

Check the updated version on the web site. Three years around the world? What a trip.

Take this with a grain of salt of course but I understand a pre-contract to build has been signed with a company in South America (on the northeast area) to build it. I am not sure if anything has started yet. That port is the only one large enough in the world to take the proposed ship. Lets face it, the runway is about 3,000 foot long. In my book, that is over a half mile long.

I most often do not believe what I read on the Internet but than again, I never believed anything my second wife said after we were married either. By now, she could buy one of those condos for cash.

By the way Craig

Strange our minds should run in the same path or here in Texas is that called the same ruts?

:cheers

Many more available on www.google.com It is strange but in a way, not entirely imposable. What a place to open up a shop of any kind or a fully qualified FBO operation qualified on aircraft up to light jets for aircraft of residents.

Three years around the world? Check the proposed cruise path.
Gee, a guy can dream can't he?
