    Air filter " Fram"/disk brake ?

What is the Fram number for the supercub airfilter and can it be bought from a local Fram dealer. Like around the corner.

Does anybody have any experience with the medal liners instead of the fiber style for the cleveland disk brakes. I have them on another ship and they stop better but wear faster, on this particular plane anyway.

Are these cross references for the round filter or square and what is the cross reference for the short, round Penn Yan 180 hp conversion filter? Crash

Crash: Cylindrical shaped paper type filters above.

Naoook: The Penn Yan filter looks just like the 1963 and newer PA-18 cylindrical (round) filter, only it is about 1 1/2" shorter but still corrigated paper in between an outside and inside screen with a black rubber molded ring on each end. Darn, just heard a Super Cub fly over, gottta go and finish up the last few things on mine... Never a better sound made then the exhaust note of a Super Cub, music to my ears. Crash

Crash: Like I said above the only penn-yan I've worked on had a ss screen tube with a Bracket foam cover. You could e-mail penn-yan and ask them if you really want to know. I'm getting one of their engines next month for a project I'm finishing now, so if they send a filter with their modified air box I'll find out what it is then.

Nanook, Could it have possibly been a K&N high performance air filter?

Brackett makes a round filter that fits over a screen tube
