Pretty cool to see all these awesome pups, especially the ones that like to fly. My best friend is dying for me to get her back out in the mountains!

I found this guy tied to a tree in a run-down house (turned out to be a methadone lab) and would stop and feed him occasionally. One day some dirtbag came out of the house and told me to get off his property and take that damned dog with you. Name is Bounce and he's a Clumber Spaniel, not good for much except loyalty. As soon as the Cub starts moving, he starts barking.Bounce in Super Cub.jpgEver alert.jpg

Ruby has a thing for cubs that don't belong to her- oh, and she seems to like 35s too!

I hope you shot the previous owner.

"I hope you shot the previous owner."
Would have gladly, but the Police Dept beat me to it. They made the trailer as a meth lab about 2 weeks after I rescued the dog. The dirtbag barricaded himself inside for about 20 minutes, then a CS grenade brought him out. He's doing time in a South Texas prison now.

Mr. Jackson - Adopted a couple of months ago; about a year old. Appears to be half German Shepherd and half Collie. He's a ham and a real sweetheart.

And this is Miss Shenandoah. She's 13 weeks old. Her mom is a full-bred Australian Cattle Dog and her dad is a mutt that looks like Old Yeller. She's smart as a whip and super sweet.

Annie (Oakley) always begs to get on board, then settles right in for nap time. She does get disappointed, however, when we shut down on tarmac instead of grass or dirt. Likes to scare lineman and the such as well

This was our girl Cheyenne's last flight, she loved to fly.
D----- Bag neighbor ended her days with his truck, I live off the beaten path on a dead end street. Miss our girl RIP Chey

That's awful. My wife and I loved the pics, but were obviously saddened by the outcome.

Lexi loves plane rides, and is pretty good at guarding during static displays too

You guys must have good mufflers. I'm terrified that I'll ruin my dog's hearing if he gets his Mutt Muffs off.

I finally found the one I was looking for. Jeff, the border collie on the left, was my retired cow dog who moved with me from Montana to Tacoma WA. Hardy, on the right, was my wife's sheltie.

Jeff had been with me through thick and thin, blizzards and scorching droughts. He was really tough and really sweet, and extremely sharp at working bulls.

Both of these guys spent their quiet years sailing with us all over Puget Sound before going the way of all good dogs.

I got my third dog a bit over a month ago, third in the last 29 years that is. old Buster made it to 17, then Ted got hit by a neighbor's pickup at 12 yrs (nobody's fault, my neighbor felt so bad I had to tell him that if any of the three of us had altered our routine a half second that day, it wouldn't have happened, just a fluky thing, but at least he didn't linger and suffer), and the new guy (after going 1.5 years without a dog, that sucks) is making the grade big time. The biggie was the first time I fired up the ski plane, at the top of my sloped ramp on my mountain side strip, so not a lot of options stopping wise.

I of course kept a close eye on him before hitting the starter, and he did the perfect thing, once that prop turned he dissappeared. But I still had my first landing to contend with, turns out he met me on the "runway", (14% grade, so again, when on skis not a lot of options) but stayed well off to the side and clear until I made the turn in front of the hangar and shut it down. Part some kind of terrier/part rhesus monkey I think, 9 lbs. of whoop ass.https://i.imgur.com/KRZwvdes.jpg
