I'm an avionics guy that's never been a fan of touch screens. No physical button to press means you need to have your eyes on the screen when making a selection. Some will argue about it but I wonder about touching the screen when bouncing around. Not sure what part of the menu you'd end up in. The screens are slow to respond in extreme cold and I worry about the surface of the screen when the operator has fuel, oil, dirt, fish guts, etc, on their fingers.
