Just a quick note, we had a Walmart heater, approx.$ 46.00 one was using. for cabin heater...One day I thought I would use to warm fingers working on bench and the damn thing caught on fire!!! Flames and everything, was glad it wasn't in airplane.......
Oh no, I’ll be 68 in March, started flying in 1977.....on my 2nd supercub....currently own 1969 pa18-150 with I think the lowest hr (since Piper new) cub around.....468 hr today....had 244hr on it
when I got it...it has been recovered is all. ..... also have a 250 Comanche.....
The gap in tail- elevator, you would not think it would make much difference but it sure did on mine... I bought the fancy gap seals for my cub , but Pawnee we used two pieces white duct tape stuck half together length ways so was sticky on both sides... Kind of pain to get stuck evenly but...
If you want more stability and better load carrying, try some duct tape to seal gap in tail.....made my Pawnee fly like a different plane..... I used my Pawnee for spraying, seemed to pick tail up 4 to 6 inches in level flight loaded.....awesome airplane..... Steve
