Hey all,
Does anyone have any PA-12 drawings that show or describe the components of the left-hand sliding window?
Any pictures of the window channel/routing, especially with fabric removed would also be very helpful.
Installing one and just wanted to see the layout to help us move...
Just wondering if there is anyone out there with a jig and/or the ability to build a tail clip for J5/PA-12 with or without the trim system installed.
Or anyone you'd recommend?? Feel free to reply or PM with quotes/questions.
I do have drawings and measurements if needed!
Thanks,
Philip
I used to fly a stock PA-12 all the time around north Florida and I'd agree that 1000ft is enough. We'd take it into ultralight strips between 800-1300ft and be ok. You will notice it's a fat heavy cub, but I always loved the way it flew. On the hottest summer days, if the grass is wet and your...
Some of you may have noticed me looking for ANYONE who may have had 4 oversize pistons for an A-65 which seem to have disappeared from the face of the earth. The hardest part is knowing that SOMEWHERE in the world, there are 4 shiny new ones on a shelf that I may never connect with. The odds are...
Hey All!!
It's been a while since I've been on Supercub.org but I do recall the wealth of knowledge and information here and thought if there's anywhere to track down parts, this would be the place.
My Predicament:
I bought an airplane with an A-65 and by the time I got it home(SLC-Atlanta) the...
Preferably a near stock J5A but I'll take a look at all of them.
Saw a couple on barnstormers. Just wanted to see what might be sitting in a hangar or being locally sold. I figured this is the best bunch to know about it.
Thanks for the help guys...

I agree with the J3 analogy.
Besides wheelies, get the stick all the way back and keep it back, and it just rolls straight as can be. Most I have flown with who think they are squirely to land, let the tail drop, and the stick just bobs around where it wants.
They are a blast if you know how...
That makes two of us. From ultralight's to Cubs, to Stearmans. I cannot get over the generosity of so many people I have come across. Of course they get free BFR's for life :) And often airplane washes.
But when I do own my own one day, I will have those people to thank for my perspective, and...
I'm sure this has been posted already but I came across this site:

So who here is the responsible party for having all this fun without the rest of us???

Work in the Bush with style....
Mooney....shoulda guessed.
And of course he's scared to land it in a flat, rolled, short grass pasture.
A cub haven gone bad.
Hopefully things work out, that spot is perfect for you.

Almost forgot...
In regards to the question about any Florida Cub pilots...
Mostly in Jacksonville...but I also claim occasional residence in Tampa and Fort Lauderdale.
Tim, when are you coming down? I need to know so we can go over there and straighten that rich trouser stain out.
Pomona has to be one of the nicest and most user friendly airports in Central Florida. It hosts a large fly-in every year and was about a picture perfect of a situation for Tim...
If it's the tube for the stock J3 tires I'm looking for a pair too. Seems that noone in the unverse has them!
I'm in Jacksonvile/Tampa/Fort Lauderdale.
Thanks!
Philip
I'm with you! And I wish I had an O-320 sittin' around with a spare set of PA-18 tail feathers as well. Ya know what I mean??
Speaking of landing and not getting out. Seems our friend with the C-120 out of Deland has given up on the Island. I've got access to an old Lobster Boat up here...
