Exact what type of oilfilter adapter is the best to use on a PA18-150 with stock O320-A2B, no vacuum pump and with Thrustline modification when converting from screenfilter? Are there any interference problems to consider?

I went to a machine shop and let them make copies of the plastic pulleys out of a round brass bar. They have lasted for at least 20 years and no sign of wear on the pulleys or extra wear on the wire.

This is what my muffler looks like inside on the side for the rear cylinders. Any idea what could have caused this, backfire or overheated cylinders? The engine is a standard O320-A2B. Where to buy a new muffler, is it worth the extra money to go for a Atlee Dodge hot rod muffler?

This is how I have made a step on each side. No welding in the frame, the only thing thats hold it in place is the two hoseclamps. These steps works great when fueling on skies and you also get a little bit higher up when on floats. Off course I go experimental also.

Is there any way to take an ELT406 as checked in bagage on a commercial flight? As I understand there is some regulation against litium batteries on passenger aircraft.

The one I have is marked Scott but is broken, so I need a new one. I couldn't find anything searching on "scott" on the internet.

Thinking about the thing that WSH talked about difference in combustion between 100LL and Autogas. Could that be a reason to have another setting for the timing of the magnetos when you are running Autogas?

I bought o-rings to my primer from Sacramento Skyranch with part number: M832487/1-012 and they work fine. I had the same problem as you have after the float seasons, but now I put some EZ-Lube on the o-rings every annual at that seems to work.

If you don't already have it, install the thrustline modification. I think that will give you more than a 160 hp.
For me it did a lot of improvement in start and landing.

Just to let you know that it worked out very well with the EMD machine. The stud is out and the threads was unhurt. So now is everything back on its place and the plane is back in the water for another float season. Thank you all for your advices and offers.

Thank you for all your advices. I got to know today of a machine shop in my town that have a EDM, so I will try with that first. If it doesn't work out well I'm pleased to know that there is a chance with Steve or Aviator.
