FYI Some of the new fruity type energy drinks also have no-no substances in them. They'll put them in the drink cooler without any particular labeling.
I thought part of displaced thresholds had to do with the displaced part not being built as robust as the runway. Big airplanes would eventually tear it up. Not a factor for cubs but they aren't inclined to write in exceptions for cubs in the rulebook.
Plan to apply, allegedly they will be hiring more pilots soon. No helicopter weight capable pads on the windmills, workers and gear are winched on and off a platform on the windmill.
OnX talks about it a bunch they made a couple of movies about accessing land locked public land. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yvyFIr1j4U&t=2s
And this recent case. https://www.outsideonline.com/outdoor-adventure/environment/corner-crossing-wyoming-case-hunters-checkerboard-public-lands/
The American country and culture that allowed back country flying no longer exists. The American gov't that has the power to stop people from backcountry flying won't exist in another ten years. Get some now or have patience for the coming post America future. Of course according to the movies a...
I'm a big fan of this short 8 minute video on spin demonstrations. He makes a great point about training spins not reflecting reality of accident spins. And shows how to demo more realistic spins.

Grumpy old guy mode. PTS->ACS has sissy'd up stalls. The thing to do is what the OP did, teach the ones you can, what you can. Hope someone else catches the rest, or they figure it out, or they never go anywhere near the edge of the air.
Consider https://hillpeoplegear.com/Products/CategoryID/1 instead of a vest. Others make similar. If you want waterproof there are fishing chest packs.as well.
On the Boston heli chart just South of the Bravo surface area there is a note stating ...Helicopter route assignments and altitudes do not relieve pilots of compliance with FAR 91.119 and 135.203 (b) compliance...
Telling you right there they might tell you to do something you might get in...
Don't engage. I've watched about thirty seconds of it. I think the stunt was cool, and like you and others I don't care about the promotion or backstory drama BS. I heard about the stunt, watched the landing, just the landing, and got on with my life.
It is a cool stunt. No one here could do it. You aren't getting a cub to Dubai, permission, and a good film crew unless you are Redbull. You can celebrate with Redbull or hate on them but if they keep playing the stol game they will excel at it.
Love them or hate them doesn't matter when Redbull starts playing your game the level of play is going way up. Yes being on the Redbull air force is a dangerous job but these guys would be doing a dangerous job without the Redbull gig.
4. Add a new CFI rating
5. If you've done a bunch(5 iirc) of FRs and logged them in wings you can renew based on that.
Number 5 is spelled out in an Advisory Circular the number escapes at the moment.
As to your friend, feedback from a DPE also works. If his guys are passing he is doing fine...
Reread my post. I wrote 'could be this guy.' A bunch of DPEs got canned recently but that doesn't usually rise to the level of reexamination for pilots. I hope all affected get over this hurdle with minimum hassle.
