I live up in Lubbock,I have a fair amount of tailwheel times, is this for pay or generosity of the heart?
The last time I did a ferry ,I got stuck with the fuel bill, bummer!
I'm not a Single Engine IFR type of guy, so we went straight VFR, but I will say, we love the G5, and If I were to go IFR Dual G5's would be the way to go.
The Claw has worked great as an anchor point for me for years, but does not work the best in some sandier types of soil.
As for the Lines themselves, I absolutely love the knotless tie downs I got from this guy https://backcountrypilot.org/forum/125-tie-down-lines-and-hammer-s-photo-dump-17878.
We used AeroDot(from SCS) on our 180,with the 1/4" high density foam pad."Really fantastic, believe me". It's the same stuff that Learjet uses on the entrance door steps;I think our plane is a little faster now.
What Steve said! We did go with a B&C starter and were very careful to mask and use clay as Steve indicated.I used an Atlee Dodge box under the Super Cub front seat that was already installed in our PA11.Charge the Odyssey battery every now and then and you are good to go.Bob you are doing this...
Two best mods besides 100LL are a good prop and 29" Airstreaks IMHO.
As far as a Catto goes...

"101. Propeller - Wood (fixed or adjustable pitch)."
Sounds like a Catto is already named in the TCDS to me.
I heard of a guy that put a 80-30 Catto on his C85 stroker and apparently it is a hell of a performer. I heard to turns about 2350 static, and about 2600 in a 45 mph climb. Guy said it was a night and day difference between the 76AK-2-42 that it replaced; over 100 lbs harder pull on the same day...
