Thanks Jim-
I appreciate the detailed description of how you spliced the stringer. I will follow suite with confidence. I have already ordered the stringer blank from Univair.

Thanks Bugs-
I just went down to the shop and measured the frame; I figured out where I want to splice the stringer so I can direct Univair with a nominal cut length. It looks like half of the 157" length they sell will put the splice in a good spot for me.

I would like to add a belly stringer before I cover my fuselage. All my other stringers are already installed and are made of spruce. I would like to use a Univair aluminum stringer for the belly. Has anyone successfully spliced an aluminum belly stringer together from two shorter pieces? I do...
Torch Tip
Yes I got the torch tip. The fellow who needs it is coming by tonight to pick it up. I hope you can get down here soon and check things out.

David-
Something else I should have put in that last post I just made; I also have a set of original Piper J3 ribs for comparison as well, if you decide to come by.

Carlson Rib Airfoil
Hi David-
I have a full set of Carlson ribs hanging here that I'm getting ready to slide onto my spars, if you want to come by and trace one out. I also have the Wag full size rib plan here for comparison.

Aileron horn
Getting back to the D&E Aileron Kit; Does anyone know if the aileron horn is included in the D&E kit? I looked at the picture D&E provides of their Piper Style aileron kit, and did not see the horn.

Thanks All-
I appreciate all the response to my aileron questions.
Thanks Bugs for the info on D&E aileron weight. I’ll be getting a hold of a stock Piper aileron soon to compare. I’ll go to your web site and study the photos you have there and try to visualize the proposed lightening holes...
Hi All-
I am building a plans-built experimental Cub with a C-85 Stroker. This is my first post here on SuperCub.org, though I have been reading the posts here for quite some time. I have been a regular participant on both J3-Cub.com and Yahoo/piper-cub-builders; and I see familiar names here...
