Thanks for all your replies, So is 9 months to long to be without your AC. I have a freind who was promised his back in 3 months last July and is still waiting..... The outfit is a supporter on this website so I won't mention names. How upset should he be? There were no surprises in the rebuild...

My question is if I hire a professional outfit to rebuild my cub how long should I expect it to take? All the good mods of course.

I pull the wings off my 12 every year to store in my pole barn. It takes All of a day and you will need a couple good friends at the time of wing removal. It is worth it to me as I save about 2K for winter storage on my float plane and it's a good time for inspection. Hope this helps. BTW I...

Here I am flying my nice pa-12 along on a very windy day and I hear this VERY loud pop. The plane kept flying fine so flew it back to my place on the lake. It turns out the right fuel tank cover on top of the wing was ripped off luckily over a lake. All the screws that hold that 33"x 37" cover...

I put it on 3 years ago at rebuild of my pa-12 floatplane and it has worked great. My prop looks like new. I agree to keep the stick back as mike said.

Kingcub, not sure about the ice question as I don't fly in the winter but I am located on Six Mile Lake about 40 mile east , south east of Beaver on the main land and fly out there in the summer on floats , Do you fly floats in the summer to your lake ? BTW I spudded a hole on the ice here and...
