We’re back at it in 2024.
There’s a black bull just below center in this image. We found one more bull out of 4 out there and didn’t see any of the missing pairs yet.
New in box carburetor. part number 5-4164-1. This carb came with a new Titan O-370 I received direct from Titan. After receiving the engine I decided to go with a fuel injection system. This carb was in the original box from Marvel Schebler and I don't think it was ever installed on the...
I agree with your observations on travel and Montana and Missoula. We’re getting excessively hot in the afternoons now. 50 degree changes morning to evening are common. 56 as I write this and will be close to 100 later. It’s still green but that can’t last long with this heat.
My brother and I...
Their customer service is amazing. I had a mag problem 2 years ago, one they had overhauled about 350 hours earlier, and they fixed it no charge while I waited. They’re about a 45 minute flight from me and I brought the mag to them in another plane. Within an hour I was flying back home with the...

Steve, looking at this while I eat breakfast I see I’m still logged in from last night. It used to be we would get timed out after some period of time.
I just bushed seatbelt attach points. I turned bushings with a 2-step diameter. the 5/16” diameter was a bit proud so the AN5 bolt could be torqued but the steel attach part of the belt can rotate freely under the bolt head. I think the diameter under the belt attach is 3/8” dia.

I like .040” for interior panels. Weight is equal to bare .020” aluminum.
Curbell plastics is were I bought my last sheets. They had black and white. I wanted gray but they only had it in .060”.
You other Montana guys are making us look like the banana belt again. Saturday morning was a mellow -28. This morning, still dark, we’re a pleasant -10 which was about our high yesterday. Tomorrow looks like it should be a nice ski flying day with +single digits forecast.
