    Which radio(s) to buy?

I have a ATR-500 com with built in intercom. Fits in a small instrument hole. Never seen one before but it works good. Small and compact.

    PA-11 on edo 1400s

If you don’t want those 1400’s let me know. I’ve got a J-3 that’s wants to play in the water.

    Covering, Stewart System

Airtech uses a white’ish cream color primer filler, I believe they even recommend white over it for light colors. The down side with their primer is it’s slightly heavier than stits/Ceconite

Is aileron rolling a super cub a great idea

Yup, even in a Pitts you bring the nose up slightly, unload the elevator, push and hold the stick full left or right with a smudge of rudder. That’s an Aileron roll. Gravity dictates the requirement of a pitch up in any aircraft for an aileron roll. For a slow roll or hesitation roll all bets...

Is aileron rolling a super cub a great idea

Negative, it’s still an aileron roll. Try your idea of an aileron roll in a T-6/SNJ, see what the engine does.

    Icom IC-A220 Volume Knob Creep

Junk. I put a a rubber O-ring around the base of the knob.

Is aileron rolling a super cub a great idea

I highly recommend CP Aviation for upset/spin training, basic acro in their decathlons before going out and scaring the crap out yourself in your SuperCub.

    IA Renewal

if you keep separate logs, like most people do, only the Annual inspection is required in the Airframe logs, the engine and prop logs only require a 100hr inspection entry. Just in case someone gets all wound up when they see that.

Yes. As long as they aren’t pencil whips.

Throtlle goes back to flight idle on its own

I had a mechanic lube the throttle lever, pissed me off. Why CC can’t make a throttle friction knob on a brand new airplane is beyond me.

    Beware of those gummies...

JP, that’s exactly what I meant in my post above! Take one hit off of a buddys vape, not knowing or him telling you and end up popping hot on a random. There’s like 24 dispensary’s here, and in one podunck town I counted 8. They must be subsidized or something, there’s no way there’s that many...

    Beware of those gummies...

Funny but also not funny. It’s getting bad everywhere. Not to mention Vaping. Take a hit off the wrong one from one of your buddys vape and you could pop hot on the next random pee test. I don’t vape nor smoke, but I’ve seen plenty of WTF moments by regular folks and their “friends”.

    Expander tubes brakes

This is the first time seeing those wide brakes, is that what the PA-14 originally had?

Proposed 25-50 wind turbines 600 ft above ridge line just west of Fairbanks

I think you could easily find a local on the res to do it for cheap especially if they get a free harbor freight saw zall. yup, A trade skill trumps a college degree most kids have these days. Heck the airlines are dropping the requirement. Anyways getting back, I’m sure there’s a spreadsheet...

Proposed 25-50 wind turbines 600 ft above ridge line just west of Fairbanks

They’ve basically destroyed the land where they put up wind farms in many parts of New Mexico. The land is now scarred for thousands of years from the mounting pads, access roads and power line transmission routes… and they’ve also ruined the scenery.

    ADHD, ADD and the FAA

He was talking about 100% disabled. PTSD and any mental issues have been found by the FAA during their audit with the VA. What ever percent you have doesn’t matter unless you are prescribed meds from the VA that isn’t approved by the FAA or mental issues. Things that are intentionally left out...

    ADHD, ADD and the FAA

i agree 100%. My post was more of an awareness/warning. Scammers to the taxpayers deserve the consequences.
