From an instructor years ago: "You might be able to fly like Chuck Yeager but if you sound like a dumba$$ on the radio everyone will think you're a dumba$$.".
Steve,
I have been watching this thread with some interest in the hopes that someone would provide some information that would help me as well.
My -12 flies nicely wings level hands off but the ball is displaced to the right just enough for the right edge of the ball to be behind the line. It...
I'm 6'2" and wear 34x34 jeans and my -12 is comfortable. Again, it has a fixed seat position and the only adjustment is the thickness of the seat cushions. My limit is a 1" memory foam seat back covered in sheepskin. I tried 2" of memory foam and it put my knees too close to the panel. I have a...
I had a difficult time trying to find what I liked. Wanted a wood grip but it ended up extending too high and hit my panel before full forward travel. I ended up cobbling my own by buying a plastic disc made to be the foot of a barstool that had the correct diameter to fit into the stick and...
Has anyone been using this prop on a PA-12 that can share their experience? Have a Borer 82/41 on my -12 which is great for T/O performance but suffers in cruise. I'm also a bit nose heavy when unloaded and solo and could use the weight reduction on the nose. I was looking to see what others...
Just throwing it out there in case someone has a decent pair of 31" Bushwheels they were thinking about getting rid of. Like most things airplane, I don't really "NEED" them but thought I'd check to see if someone had a decent pair with some good life left in them that they were thinking about...
I don't know of any Seaplane Base in Northern Minnesota that is owned by a municipality that has land leases associated with it. We have a Seaplane Base at my airport (12D), but it only has dockage, fuel and some space to tie down on the ramp temporarily. It is adjacent to the airport and the...
These early out guys know they are starting at the bottom. They are just double dipping getting their early out buyout and then continuing to fly until they are forced to hang up their spurs. Plus their wives probably don't want them around so much.
Couldn't say what a reasonable price would be but for others who may have a better idea, knowing if they have flaps or not will definitely impact the value.
Sounds good. Only reason I am removing it is to install a Trig to make space for a dock for my 660 in the panel and finally running intercom jacks for the rear seat pax.
If it was truly an accidental incident I feel bad for the guy and hope he can get it resolved. However, more than a few pilots have been added to the HIMS program who have claimed they were "inadvertently" exposed to THC through the use of CBD products or unknowingly eating something containing...
