Go to Univair and look under engines Continental parts 35956-continental-propeller-moisture-plate
IMHO these look very much the part on an L18C I'm pretty sure none of the military machines ever had skull cap spinners fitted, plus they look too 'twee', out of place and belong on a Luscombe...
From IA2 Rev 37 Note 105.
"ContinentalC-90-12F and C -90-8F engines (uses carburetor setting No. 530726)"
And from E 252 Rev 29 Page 2 Note 2. refersto 530726 in context with the MA-3SPA .
You will require TCM A407793 air box assywith the Marvel carb.
With both type certificates cross...
PA-18-95 Heater box
Here are some rather scrppy shots of the heater box, I was wrong with my orientation in my first post, the bypass hot air goes out to the right pointing at the exhaust rather than at the gascolator (which I have seen on other machines) the other pic just shows the...

Cant find the pictures that would help you but have the hot air "IN" from the Muffler coming into the front of the box and the "Bypass" dump going straight down. It works well for swinging the engine on the engine mounts for maintenance.
So when Cabin heat selected to "on" the airflow is...

I sit behind a little C90 but it needs a decent intercom to be heard over.
Another vote here for the PM1200. Having spent most of my working life round gas turbines I too have hearing that could be better and went round the houses with numerous headsets and a Flightcom403 but changed to...
Forgot to add the CofG is 15.79 aft of datum
I think the big hitters are the -12 engine the battery & metal prop oh and the extra tank, whilst it's nice to have the fuel carrying capacity is it really necessary to have the best part of a 6 hr endurance with a frugal C90 up front?

PA-18-95
Ours was 778lb when built in 1951 that was with a -8 C90 and a wooden prop, and a tailwheel with wooden bearings, I think it would have just had the left hand fuel tank as well.
Today with -12 engine, metal prop, radio/xponder,PM1200 Intercomm, 22 lb of lead acid battery and twin...
Had the wheel off today, chamfered the pads, silicone on the pins etc and Mike the axle is fine, my point was not that there was no sound when on jacks, just no sign of binding when the brakes release. Weather did not permit a test hop to check the results but should get one in over the w/e
Great suggestions thanks one and all, I shall let you knows what finally cures it, there is no trace of binding when brakes releases with the machine on jacks.

Replaced the pads on the brakes at the last annual and now they have have bedded in one brake has developed a really annoying squeak when rolling at walking pace. I have tried giving it a hard time, cleaning the disc etc and also resetting the caliper by prying the pads back with a screwdriver...
Useful points there thanks for the replies, I am in the UK so sun is not a commodity that may be relied upon! I suppose the solar panel input is dependent upon lux levels over a given time period. I'll get digging for a reliable local sun figure.
update from here...
I operate from a strip without any electrical power or telephone services. I wish to install a weather station in the hangar and be able to access it online to avoid dissapointment and potentially a wasted drive.
So I need a weather station.

A sim card
A battery (big one?)...
The F stands for Fabricated, the rivet requires no heat treatment and may be used as fabricated but not on structural applications see here http://www.tpub.com/air/2-1.htm

Hi Avi
You have an email.
I would be interested to know how many of the Super Cub 95's the IAF operated and if you have any pictures of these machines.
Kind regards
Sandy

If your prop is only smooth at one RPM I would consider getting the prop checked for even blade pitch angles, this produces an oscillating thrust line that is not coincident with the spin axis of the prop. Until the pitch angles are correct all bets are off for dynamic balance across the...
1951 Israeli Cub
Avi
I share an early one here in UK PA-18-95 S/n 18-826. I obtained a copy of its Piper construction sheet from Clyde Smith.
Interestingly it never had a US civil or Mil registration and was registered "Export" rolled out on 05/21/51 and shipped I believe to Israel where...
Ditto the warped vacuum pump plate. It took ages to find it, I thought the left rear stud had cracked and the oil was escaping via its threads until a sharp eyed buddy saw the first drip on a dedicated ground run with the bottom cowl removed. The plate blocks off an oil feed intended for the...
