    I have supercub and C-182. Like both but they are beating the hell out of my savings. Probably would choose 182 if I could only have one. Just more versatile. My 182 will go into most all the Idaho backcountry strips at least once.

    Sell it disassembled with appropriate log book entry. Let new owner reassemble and take airworthiness resposibility. Just a thought.

    Controls cables inside front lift struts. Switching to sealed struts

    Get some Carlson aluminum struts. Build attach fittings from 6061 all for less than $1000. Or use the expensive factory struts and move control cables. Hardly rocket science.

    Consequences of a plane not flying often?

    Worse is the pilot that flys very little. Had good luck with older Lycoming like pre 70's. Newer seem to have junk cams.

    Idaho

    Sept usually good flying up here. Been to the backcountry several times the last few weeks. Pretty smokey at times but have seen worse. Instument rating reommended.
