I bought 200 shares of Cubcrafter stock in December of 2022 for $1,000. Now, I would like to sell them. They are not listed for sale on any exchange. Cubcrafter Investor Relations man Justin told me to look for a private sale.
The shares are on record with Colonial Stock Transfer Co out of...
If you suspect your empty weight/C G info is in error (lots are!) you CAN weigh your airplane yourself, without an A and P license. It is not a legal weight, but if it comes out lots different from your W and B paperwork then you can have an A and P do a "legal" job.
That was my experience as well in my years as an airplane salesman when selling an old airplane. But on late model ones missing logs are a significant detriment..
Nope, wish it was! I used to fly J-3s and Super Cubs on frozen lakes around S E Wisconsin, but now after a lifetime in general aviation, my only involvement with aviation is writing a question and answer column for Midwest Flyer Magazine.
Since 1978 Dave Weiman's Midwest Flyer Magazine has provided a good read and good photos. Now, it is free online! Do an internet search (google) for Midwest Flyer Magazine and click on subscribe. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have for many decades. Thanks, Pete Schoeninger
Against my wife's wishes, I invested a grand more than a year ago. Have not heard a peep since except please invest more. Will B interesting to see if the stock ever hits an OTC market somewhere...where shares can be bought and sold?
I sold airplanes for about 15 years. In most cases I would not let a potential buyer land an airplane I had for sale. In flight, yes, I would allow the buyer, his mechanic, his CFI, almost anybody within reason handle the controls. One example why from early in my career: I had a 182 for sale. A...
I good ole boy painted my ratty J 3 in Houston area along time ago on old asphalt. He washed the plane, scuffed it very lightly with scotchbrite, then squirted it with 2 coats of DuPont Duluxe el cheapo school bus yellow enamel. The next morning I did a quickie tape job then rattle can black...
Thanks Steve from an old guy who flew Cubs and others long long time ago. Your wonderful site is my evening's entertainment. What a great bunch of people are in this group. Keep up the good work and Happy New Year to all. Pete Schoeninger
Had this issue a couple of times. It helps A LOT if you take neighbors for a ride (from an airport, not your place) and fly over their property, etc. A little bit of P R maybe before you even mention a possible strip on your place.
Sometimes folks get confused when their name is added to approved pilots on another person's airplane. If I borrow a friend's airplane, and I either meet his open pilot clause or am specifically named as an additional pilot, then smack the plane, the owner has coverage. But I, personally, have...
Do it IMHO because if U ever sell, the float kit is always a plus. And I don't think U could get one added to a completed airplane for $2500....
A completely different horse, but several years ago a friend had a float kit added to his Cessna 172Hawk XP (R-172) It cost him about ten grand back...
Web is correct, 450 gallons on board at take off from New York by Lindbergh. Pretty impressive on 225 HP! Donald Hall, designer, calculated speeds and fuel burns as the weight of the airplane slowly was reduced by fuel burn and rpms could be lowered. If I remember correctly at first hour or...
