I usually don’t overthink it when I do stitching. I just do whatever the STC or 43.13 requires. I also typically don’t do the dollar patches on control surfaces. Just use 2” tape.
Wish I would’ve known you were doing it. I would’ve loaned you my modified handy man jack. It’s sitting in the corner of my garage at my Everett house.
You are correct on no CB for the alternator field. Most of the Cessna’s and I think later model Piper’s typically have a 5 amp alternator field CB. I don’t recall ever seeing a CB or a fuse in the master relay wiring digram on anything I’ve worked on. I just checked the Cessna 172 wiring diagram...
Something seems a little off with your wiring diagram. I am going off memory but doesn’t there need to be a CB on the field relay for the generator? Also why is there two 5 amp CB’s on the master relay?
I really like your panel layout!
Nice! I think I worked with Dawn at Ryan Air back in the day. Name sounds really familiar anyway. I would love to be on your jump seat! I work for ABX Air.
Thanks for all the comments! I had an epiphany. I am able to jump seat, so I am going to jump seat into Adak this summer. I haven't done any research. Does anyone know if the little Hotel is still operating? Also does anyone rent vehicles? A UTV or ATV would be fine.
Has anyone been there in a Super Cub?
I grew up in Nome reading about the battle there during WW2. I stopped by the Alaska Aviation Museum recently and checked out their P-40E project. It piqued my interest. I've always been curious about it and would like to see it with my own eyes. I know...
Steve, do you have your oil cooler on the front or back? I've been debating where to put mine. Not too hot in the NW but I'll probably be towing gliders on occasion.
I used to switch on the ground all the time in the 185. Not moving of course. Didn't think anything of it.
Funny thing is every fall I would check to see which way the switch was rigged and that both skis moved the same direction. Seems like the switch wasn't always the same.
