Jeez I think I forgot something important. Can anyone enlighten me on how hi a PA18 stand on amphibs. Maybe it won’t fit into my hangar. Now that would be embarrassing.

But what are my amphib options for an experimental Javron cub? I have no idea of any of the manufactures or kits? Maybe there is a thread here with comparisons but I can’t find it.

I am having evil thoughts and am looking for any excuse not to fit Beringer wheels and brakes.
How do Beringer wheels and brakes stand up to the rigours of coastal flying, beach landing and salty environments? Any one with experience?

Is it possible to replace a leading edge and a few nose ribs without having to rebag the whole wing?
Yes, I finally put her on her back. I am devastated as they are my new wings from Jay. If I have to cut my brand new covering off I’ll just have to suck it up.
The nose ribs and leading edge...
After 10 years, my high CHT temps have been solved and my high oil temps have been improved.
My new carbon fibre cowl incorporating a square filter assembly has improved the performance hugely. I attribute the majority of improvement to the removal of the seaplane lip and running the lower cowl...
Thanks guys, you have given me confidence to go high and explore the slip envelope. Pete, I think you have nailed it again. The static is on the pitot.
I am not a numbers man and fly by feel. I fly slow and low 90% of the time and just love it. But sometimes I wonder about my slips. I am comfortable slipping all the way to the flare, full rudder and appropriate aileron. I have been slipping like this for 15 years. But I don’t understand what...
My stick is shorter than normal and has a bend in it. . I have always wondered why and been embarrassed when hanging around real cub pilots with there normal sticks.
Its a Javron and I had to cut it down to get full movement therefore it travels under the panel and hits the...
Has anyone added some sort of lube to the blade stubs to make adjustments a little smoother. I find I keep overrunning my intended position.
And, I didn’t know that you could get shorter hubs. I’m running 82” and always thought it would be better longer. My mission is stol. Does the longer hub...
Ok, I haven’t told you the whole story.
1) fitted one only flap gap seal on left wing. Test flew and pulled on flap. Left wing popped. Returned and fitted both seals. Great improvement
2) fitted only one gurney flap on left wing. Test flew and pulled on flap. Right wing popped. WTF! Then...
ultra thin and ultra stiff carbon fibre sheet running the full length of the flap. Rigidly fixed on the trailing edge of wing. Fixed through a slotted hole in the CF that allows the flap surface to move away from the wing then come closer to the pivot point which forces it up into a curve. Took...
Can someone please explain the difference between 100 and 100w oils.
I am extending the time running on 100 in an attempt to ensure that my rings and cylinders are truly broken in.
Is there any problem with using 100 for an extended period?

I flew Wayne’s wings for 7 years. As bill says, strong and true. If your looking to haul weight, I would recommend them. They also had the extended leading edges. No scallops in the fabric and looked great. I swapped them out because I put my cub on a diet.
