Update: California Duster came yesterday. Works great!! The duster has long fibers and can go over VG's if careful.
And yes, I flew the last 2 days and the dust did not 'blow off'.
Or, the places you fly to all the time are dusty. And I think the plane is "equilibrium dirty".
Source of dust is living in an breezy arid agricultural area. Everything is dusty in the area: cars, house, plane, hanger,...
Thanks all. It is flown regularly. I think next time it rains or snows, I'll push it outside. Good points on scratching the paint. Will also investigate the California Car Cover dust mop.
As the title mentions. I live in a very dusty area. Is there a preferred method to clean the top of the wing without using soap and water?
Any spray-on stuff and use a dust mop?
Just my observations and I'm not an HVAC guy. My hanger here in Idaho is insulated and during the cold of winter, it says about 45F (without heat). I do have a propane heater and but only use it when spending a lot of time in the hanger.
You did not mention if the hanger door is insulated. Mine...
What everybody has said.
My only advice would be, after removing the head and shaping the bullet end, is to roll the bolt on a flat surface. Most aerospace bolts are fine, but local hardware bolts may not be as straight as one may think.

Using nitrogen, you would save 2 atomic weight units per atom (O=16, N=14). Considering they are both diatomic at room atmosphere, the weight savings would jump to 4 atomic units per atom.
But "air" is 21% Oxygen and the balance primarily Nitrogen. So weight savings would decrease slightly. It...
Thanks. I will have to check my notes to verify but I think I have checked to the plug connection before. But that was just a physical check. Maybe bypass the plug this time and go fly.
One of the CHT readings is very 'jumpy'. The reading will swing from a base reading of 360F to 410F and back and forth within seconds. Readings are not always the same, but the base temp usually is (and the temps are always increased from the base). EGT of the same cylinder is steady.
Do these...
