I know this is an old post but, I was going through some tools I inherited and saw this video Cub Bungees - YouTube and low and behold there it was. I had no idea what it was, I had initially...
I finally bought an airless sprayer, I think I will look at the different tip options to make it equal to the 1.4-1.8 MM tip that polyfiber uses for the HVLP gun I have.
Shemya has real wind for days at time Gary, makes a Florida hurricane look like a microburst. so Yeah, I agree, real wind can change things...
They fray in the wind, rope is not as susceptible to the fraying. there are limits though considering what is used for an anchor.
One thing to consider is that LED nav lights really are affected by UV after a few years, the light sports at the flight school get bad sun fade in the plastic after 2-3 years. I would rather just...
I thought that current guidance is the nav lights on prior to prop rotation so others near you can see that the airplane status has changed....
The oval is spring steel… the univair one is much lighter than the oval.
I bought the oval clips at stoddards 10 years ago, the teardrop ones from univair last week. I would like to buy some more of the oval ones but can’t seem to identify who made them. They are much...
Weight
Depend on if it’s primary structural aluminum or steel, aluminum was not allowed by the faa for Boeing as a way to cut primary because of haz and potential for cracks. Steel is allowed for some...
Are there any sodium filled exhaust valves for small continentals? ECI used to have a rotator in their 200/300 cylinders, no longer available but I am curious about finding any improvements for the...

Yes, I had a can and it would evaporate before I would get 2-3 seals done or the lid would get stuck. tubes are cleaner and I can stock 5-6 and always have fresh glue on the shelf.
Better shelf life in the tube, mcmaster has it
When using pliobond 20 in the tubes, I have found that you need to use the whole tube, mix and then coat the crank seal because it separates in the tube and the tube splits long before you can get...
Good screws for the engine compartment adel clamps, not cheap but a super time saver because they have a reduced head size. Mostly need #10 and use mostly 5/8” long or longer with ms21042-L3 nuts....
I flew the trench in an o-200 powered Taylorcraft with only 24 gallons, 4:45 and I had 3 gallons left...at Watson Lake, weather was perfect or I would not have made it.
I am lazy, I did 2.5" for the whole wing, it was just easier to figure out for me.
Are we allowed to do that here?
You guys are doing this the hard way, just install heated seat covers...

Who did your overhaul at 2400?
Here are a few rotax pics, I seem to repair a lot of mid time jugs, that run 100LL. the oil on the jug came from a cracked copper washer under the bolt for the torque check on the gearbox. The entire...
