Remember that gasoline is still the cheapest part of airplane ownership.
When I bought my Beaver in ‘92 for $100,000 avgas was around $1/gal. When I sold it in ‘05 for $425,000 avgas was over a...

Damn shame to lose anyone. I can’t think of a single thing about the 140 crash that we should be grateful for.
Just a damn shame.
I’m so sorry for the next of kin and those that knew and cared...
What drawings does Dakota Cub use to build wings? Won’t they or Univair share a copy of their drawings?
Kahles56: Did you buy a kit that includes all the necessary parts like the flap hangars, false spars, bellcranks and pushrods, and control cable standoffs? The proper placement of each is critical...
Could someone pm me a copy or post a copy to this thread?
Thanks.
Is Marden the same company as the one that had the flap STC? Wasn’t it called “day for night” or something like that?
Does anyone know if the Marden flap installation calls for original PA14...
Univair has the drawings of a PA14 wing, flaps, and required parts. I think they sent me a copy years ago when I bought my set, but I can’t seem to find it. I’ll keep looking.
Ask Univair for...
Buy PA14 flaps and all the associated parts from Univair. They were designed for that wing.
FYI, the PA12 has been sold to a family in Montana. Thank you all for your interest and inquiries.
Best wishes to you all.

Even with the help of computer programs you are still guessing that the changes you make will result in a better airplane.
Moreover, that you have never, ever even seen or flown in a 2x2 or a...
If you widen the fuselage 1&1/2” at the top won’t you have to worry about the twisting and folding resistance/strength of the roof and wing support structure? So, too, at the bottom regards the...
Also if you widen the fuselage you won’t be able to open a conventional style door, either, because it won’t clear the struts.
Come on; are you just teasing us? 6’4”, 265 lbs., wanting to fly...
Bubble side windows aren’t an option if you want them to swing up.
What does Javron use? Does anyone know how much they charge for a nosebowl? Would that be a less expensive option? I haven’t heard anyone complain about the quality of their products, but I have...
Over-gross isn’t that unusual, but isn’t over-gross AND out of the envelope a near certain death-wish?
I, too, have a B&C starter and alternator on my O320/340 12. I bought my original design PA12 nose bowl (without the starter hole) from Univair before their list prices quadrupled. It was flawless...
Here is a short walk-around video of my 12 for sale. For more photos and information please see my Barnstormers ad under Piper PA12 category. $145,000

Thanks, everyone.
All during my build I read and re-read Bill Rusk’s thread about building a Javron Cub. I constantly worried about what my empty weight and CG would come in at. Prepping 3...
A Goldilocks question?
I have received a number of inquiries about the CG of the 12 I am selling and can only tell them that the Empty CG is 12.99 (I think). Is that considered nose heavy, tail...
If there is any laying about your cabin, Western Red Cedar logs will float for years and years. They make a great floating dock and ramp and won’t wreck your floats because they rise and fall with...
Lots of people have called about these floats because they are frustrated they can’t find a decent used set priced in the teens anywhere.
Paying retail to buy new sucks, but you won’t be...
These are the LAST SET of EDO 2000s available at Kenmore.
They are all new, complete, and genuine New EDO OEM Parts. The floats are still at Kenmore. The parts kit I bought with the barrels are...
Henny,
And to think lots of people pay big money just to fly a Beaver.
Out of curiosity; how many PIC Beaver flight hours do you actually fly per year? How many in your 6 years?
We learn from our mistakes. No shame in that.
