Don't they do that with software?
"That's not a glitch-- it's a feature".
Just saw tv footage of a house getting washed off the bank, and down the river it went.
Wow...mother nature is very impressive when she's pissed off.
I'm amazed that Web is the only person to suggest this.
That would be my first thought.
Just fix it.
Sounds like different customs offices have different interpretations of the rules.
Kinda like different FSDO's.

I know this is a 2-1/2 year old post, but can you tell me more about this?
A friend of mine bought an (experimental?) TruTrak autopilot several years ago that he was hoping to eventually put into...
I know of several instances where a shop lost a customer's logbook(s)--

Are the STOL results online somewhere?
He didn't specify the turn of which century.
I'm sure glad they have inspectors spending time doing stuff like this,

after which it will send out an a anonymous ID.
On the ground, at my airport...
I dunno if VirTower tracks both 978 & 1090, I would assume so.
But although close by, my airport is not within ADSB "rule airspace" so not everyone who flies in has ASDSB.
So I'm sure lots of...
FWIW my airport recently subscribed to a service called VirTower.
Virtower™ | Airport Operations Tracking System
Basically Virtower provides tracking info into/out of/around the customers...
Poor advice IMHO.

A few years ago, there was a locally-based faded but solid C180 that the owner put a (goofy...
The tailbeacon will show your tailnumber until your transponder is pinged and the tailbeacon reads it as squawking 1200.
You can hit the ident button on the txp shortly after powering up your...
Anyone else remember the video that made the rounds a few years ago,
of some guy flying under a low bridge in a Yak or similar-- inverted?
All part of the learning curve.
Remember this for next time.
Thinking back to my 170 days, I'm pretty sure that's a mod that requires some sprt of approval,
and I don't think there's an STC.
Maybe you can get copies of some field-approved 337's & see what...
I'm sure having the wrong number programmed in would be treated much more harshly..
Look at the treatment given to Martha Lunken--
I'm sure that her license was revoked vs merely suspended because...
My take would be that it was an "established airport" if it was registered with the FAA.
There's lots of airports that are registered but uncharted.
I would say 91.119(a) covers that:
"anywhere-- an altitude allowing, if a power unit fails, an emergency landing without undue hazard to persons or property on the surface".
