Pretty sure it’s on my thread somewhere.

If it is on 31's with extended gear and has the usual 3200 TW your gear weighs 125 pounds. So if Edo 2000's weigh 251 then your exchange weight is 126 pds

As weighed......
Installed an Airglass LT32 fuel pod. Pod and mount hardware weighed 27.6. Fuel pump, lines, wires, fuses and switch added another 2.5 for a total of about 30 pounds. 30.1 to...
I guess I will be the bad guy.
If you pull the 40 year old fabric off it will be a total rebuild. That will cost mucho money. You said it was an Ag plane for 4000 hours then refurb (which means...
Great video Greg. Thanks for all the info and help.

That catch has worked quite well for me. If you can reinforce the area at the latch it will help. Perhaps a 3" square of .032 riveted on would help a lot.
The prop blast when flying with the window...
I used the one from Cub Crafters. Works for me.

Awesome weight on 35’s. Man I wish I could build that fast. Great job, Greg. DW speaks highly of it and you. Dive trip in Feb? Perhaps this spring or summer, before the floats go on, I can come out...

There are two companies that make a light weight outboard. Honda and Suzuki. Both weigh about 30 pds and both are 2.5 hp. Yamaha makes a 2.5 hp but it weighs close to 40 pds. I did not want a...

Awesome write up. THANK YOU!!. That is one of the most difficult parts of the whole build. That and the lower cowl. I have begun to tell folks to do that part during the builder assist with...
There was an excellent article recently, I believe in Sport Aviation, by a very well known and experienced engine guru, explaining that CHT‘s that were too low were actually bad. They caused carbon...
I worked with Ken this summer to help with his floatplane trip to stay in the Forrest Service Cabins. He was very professional in every way. My interactions with him were outstanding and I now count...

UV protection is in the primer. If you are going to be tied down outside year round you might want to go with more primer. The reality is, at least in the lower 48, these airplanes don’t spend very...

I agree with what you have said. Airtech is a high solids system. If you apply it per the instructions it can be thick and lack flexibility. After several years it can become...
I too have done a couple of Cubs in Airtech. I really like the glue, and the primer sands very nice (can be wet sanded). Topcoat is very durable, and high gloss. Acetone based which is MUCH less...
Well, as someone who is pretty weight conscious, this should be interesting. First you have to really decide exactly what your mission is, because if you want to go camping, you need extended...
I love the elevator seals but I felt the rudder did not benefit as much. I did not like the rudder "feel" with the seals. It felt too light to me. PERSONAL OPINION FOLKS.
Way back when CC was...
Yes, Jay (Javron) will sell the kit in stages. You will have to call and work it out with him, as to what you want, and the sequence you want to do it in, but he does sell it individually if you want...
I will throw another log on the fire. I have used Airtech on several occasions, and been very impressed with that process. I like the way the glue goes on. I like the way (and ease) of sanding the...
