They might have something for you. My 206 rear seats are original and in bad shape, they sport some costco seat covers.

I could make up some silicone seals for you if you would like.

I think I may have some of those.

J-4 and J-5 wings are different. What are they?
Have a set of cub clues. Looks like I have through #135.
$100?
Doug,
There is a drawing to install that tube to make it work on floats. At this point, I think most of them have it.

Mike,
Let me get some more info from you. Probably will not be until next year. Drop me a note in a couple weeks if I have not updated this thread.

Mike,
As with any coating, the prep is what is important. Removal of dirt and oil, then a conversion coating followed with a sealer is pretty standard.

Were they wood spar wings?
The aluminum spar J-5C wing is the same as a PA-12 wing. The J-5A aileron is curved. The cove on the wood spar wing is curved.
I'll get some pictures tomorrow.
Tim
Hi Flexpar,
The J-5 and PA-12 ailerons are not the same, BTW.

I would thin some par-al-ketone and just brush it on each rivet if you are concerned about it.
But that requires testing the manual inflation valve regularly.
I also have an aspen in my 206. It has been rock solid. I know aspen had some issues with their recent iteration of their PFD but the older ones have been rock solid. Before you chirp about how much...
You need to seek out local knowledge. ;)
Maybe Aviat should just supply the plane. You show up and get in and fly.
Just need to only give out participation trophies.
All you need is a shim...
Draw your line in the sand now.
Only work for people who want quality.
Only work for people who will pay you what you are worth.
Say no.
Say no. Say no.
Yeah...but he is not going to start it up in the hangar.
Just buy two planes. A cub and a Cessna something. You will always have something to work on and most of the time you will have a plane to fly....
What does Lee think of this?
