It looks authentic. Wether it’s “distressed” leather or “holey” designer jeans, very few things are that. The best part nobody’s mentioned are the Sharpie tail #s.

-12 ailerons are different maybe giving that illusion? The wings do look funny from that angle in the picture. Then again, any airplane trapped in wires and hanging upside down looks a little strange!

Looked like times were tough over there. The pool was under 80 degrees, the rubber duck had capsized in the hot tub, they had had to downsize to a one hump camel, one of the multiple side by sides...
