I wouldn't dig as deep as you guys. From TCDS A-691 101. Propeller - Wood (fixed or adjustable pitch). +9 lb. (-51). A wood propeller is a wood propeller and if it meets the length and rpm limits...

If there was a violent tail wheel shimmy combined with a strobe or beacon for mass on the other end of the tube I could see the tube under some significant torsional strain. Assume the light on top...
When I hauled strawberries each pallet had a short plastic bag laid on it before the boxes were stacked. Then a large bag was put over the stack and taped to the bottom plastic forming a sealed...
Don't you love the jackweed that advises not pushing on the prop and then pushes on the spinner. Owww.
I was going to suggest gripping the airbox and twisting it back and forth while watching for any movement between the the carb top and bottom. Marvel Schebler carburetors can act weirdly if the...
Is there an idea in here?

Forget the pogo. She's leaving everything to the cats.
I think it was a recent article in AOPA by that Mike Bush character that claimed the deposits were not from oil and were from lead in the fuel and cool temps.
Does that mean a guy who is 5' 10 and weighs 280# would like the wider fuselage? That is if I--I mean he can get through the door.
Things can get real goofy when the ground clip isn't making a good connection. This includes the mags not grounding through the studs when the nuts are loose and you put the black clip on the engine.
Most chute deployments are good things, but sometimes not so much.

I used AWI for an Aerocommander Lark exhaust overhaul four years ago. They sent back all new stuff and it fit.
The mechanical gauges at ACS that I looked at were not FAA approved, not even the Rochester gauge. That pretty much guarantees made in China to be--- ahhhh----inexpensive. I think you got a bumb...
A friend gave me a tube of rib repair materials from Univair I think. ACS sells it too. The capstrip and vertical sections were handy stuff but I didn't like the hat section material that forms over...
My mother-in-law would send my wife and I to collect the yellow fruits from Osage Orange trees. She cut them things in half and put them all around in her old house. She said spiders didn't like them.
Some info from right here.

The guys in Ohio did something like this awhile ago and called it Aerocross.
Because you had work done on the exhaust I'd be inclined to decowl it and and check all the nuts and bolts for tight and look for exhaust leak feathers. Question is would I fly it another hour or not...
If you might have an original neoprene tipped needle, and if you might have the seat for the stainless needle, and if you got a little alcohol in the gas, the neoprene tip can swell and stick in the...
[QUOTE=WindOnHisNose;770706]George, I hadn't thought of painting the leading edges for the warming effect. I'll give that some thought. They are going to be covering the wings now.
I had not...
Thanks, but that's the permanent fix with the crank removed. I should have been more clear about greasing the crank after performing the inspection required by the AD and the engine is still on the...
I punched the hole and screwed a 2 inch wallboard screw into it. Maybe it was a shorter screw. Then I pried it out with a flat crowbar. Used a piece of baffle seal for protection of the crank snout....
I have pressurized flimsy tanks using a plywood disk with a center hole in it for the blowgun. I add air by burping the airgun while my hand is holding the plywood and gun over the filler hole. Too...
A quick check is to put the bulb in boiling water and see if the gauge reads close to 212F. Test works if the gauge is in the plane or on the work table. I check them before installation to save a...
