Are you saying that this new airplane’s first oil change was at 40 hours? No oil changes after the first few flights?
“Emergency Landing sites”…. Same applies when trying to get that perfect YouTube hero shot over a craggy glacier or cold water with ie all around. One cough away from certain death.
Lower my standards? That would’t be lowering standards. I would be honored to fly with you anytime, anywhere in almost anything (its gotta be safe). Thanks for the invite Jim but cant make it this...
The FAA will probably be there like the times I have been there, not really a problem the times I have been there but probably not the time for “fly-by’ s” or such. Awesome fly-in. Have fun, wish I...
Call anytime if you need anything in the future Grant.

Keep the noise of airplanes and helicopters out of the park….. Um, well, we need you to come and save us now. Ironic how that works. I hope for all the best for the people who are dealing with...
Very nice, I love the overhang for parking on the side of the hangar. Keep the pictures coming.

I absolutely agree with this 100 percent. This is how I do it also. I NEVER leave my log books (the originals) with anyone. I am always present when anything goes in them, stickers or writing. ...
Thanks for the report Denny!

Does this also work for 1090 or just 978? I have a Garmin 345 in and out and would like to be untraceable. I have gone on to the FAA opt out site and I opted out however I do appear on some...

Wow! I figured it would be expensive but 32k. I guess that is what they need to charge considering all the accidents up in Ak, been that way for 50 years or more. At least you can get liability...
So what was the outcome of all of this?
Wasn't there an issue some time back of a shop having recovered an airplane without the PMA or what ever its called stamp on the fabric? If I recall correctly the AI could not find the stamp and...
Fantastic thread! I sure learn a lot reading these types of threads. I’m 59 and have 6 years to go before my retirement and it is great to read and learn from the responses on these threads. ...
Ya but both can burn up in a hangar fire. The underwriter has taken this into account.
Narwhal, if you go with no hull coverage make sure you consider “not in motion” hull coverage. This covers airplane if hangar burns down, collapses, drunk kid in his dads truck drives into it, wind...
Keep in mind, once you fill out a brokers form and supply an “N” number and they shop for quotes you are then locked out from using a different broker. So, that being said, pick one agent/broker you...
Thanks for that Pete.

Frank, although expensive its actually pretty cheap considering the cost of addressing the problem in the near future when it gets worse. I would replace the spar. Piece of mind and future resale....
Thanks for the responses.
Keep em coming if anyone else has something to add.

Has any one done this? Guy at Uavionics suggested this but some have mentioned that the silver in some fabric processes could be an issue. Any input?
Thanks

A good carbon monoxide detector, NOT the useless colored chip everyone uses but a good one. Should be around 150-200 bucks. Sporty’s sells a good unit that I have been using.
